The latest reports are that Ubisoft will be pushing Far Cry 2 into its 2021/2022 fiscal year thanks to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sadly, it sounds like we're a "far cry" away from a Far Cry 2 remake. Just like Capcom has seemingly paused work on Resident Evil remakes to make room for the upcoming Resident Evil Village, don't expect any news on a potential Far Cry 2 remake to come out until Far Cry 6 has found its stride. It's a nice idea that a Far Cry 2 remake could be on the way, but let's remember Ubisoft will be channelling all its efforts into Far Cry 6.
